Tyler Anthony is a business litigator who represents private entities and public agencies in business, intellectual property and labor and employment disputes.

Tyler is a zealous advocate for clients in California state and federal courts, and in private arbitration. Representative matters and results include:

  • Obtaining summary judgment on behalf of a national retailer in a federal trademark/copyright infringement action;
  • Obtaining a favorable, five-figure settlement on behalf of a popular online media company in defamation action alleging millions in damages;
  • Obtaining a dismissal (in entirety, with leave to amend) on behalf of an NFL team in fraud action;
  • Successfully advocating a complicated legal theory to compel arbitration of a contract dispute between high-ranking executives of a high-profile technology company;
  • Representing a film studio and private equity firm in two highly contentious business disputes resulting from a major entertainment transaction.
 

Prior to joining Best, Best, & Krieger in 2020, Tyler practiced at national firms Perkins Coie LLP and DLA Piper LLP, where he represented businesses and individuals in disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, copyright and trademark infringement and labor and employment claims.
 
Tyler graduated magna cum laude and order of the coif from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During law school, Tyler was a staff member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, worked as an extern for U.S. District Court Judge Dolly Gee in the Central District of California and advocated for children in the juvenile delinquency system as part of Loyola’s Juvenile Justice Clinic. Entering law school, Tyler was awarded the Fritz B. Burns merit scholarship, an honor bestowed upon the most outstanding entering student.
 
Tyler enjoys music, a good film and playing with his dog.
